Unless you haven’t been watching TV, don’t drive around your neighborhood, and don’t listen to the radio or read the newspaper – you must know that we are in the middle of election season. Ads are permeating nightly television schedules, all of my neighbors are promoting their favorite candidates with yard signs and the lead story in the newspaper most days is political.
Hopefully by now you are familiar with the names Nikki Haley, Vincent Sheheen, Frank Holleman, Mick Zais, and many others. But do you really know the candidates and what they stand for? I encourage you, in these last two weeks before casting your vote on November 2, to do your homework. Take a look at the candidates’ websites, talk to your friends, read the paper, friend your favorite candidates on Facebook – just get involved.
This is an important election year for our state as we are electing a new Governor, Congressmen, State Superintendent of Education, and much more. It is our right (and privilege) to vote on November 2. Make your voice heard!
